Hi, I’m Emma, proud owner of Tiny Oysters Family Day Care, opening in late February 2026. 

I have a Masters of Teaching (0-5 years) degree from Macquarie University and have been enthusiastically teaching young children since 2007. My experience primarily includes working in various long day care centres, alongside my time spent in supported play groups for families impacted by mental health and a local school readiness program. These experiences have enriched my knowledge and skills, shaping me into the educator I am today—warm, caring, patient, passionate, and eager to be a special part of your child’s early childhood education journey. 

I am currently recognized as a Proficient Teacher through the NSW Education Standards Authority, specializing in early childhood education. I also hold a Working With Children Check, National Police Check, and First Aid Training, along with certifications in Safe Sleep Practices, Child Protection, and Food Handling. 

However, my most treasured qualification is being a Mum. I understand the importance of finding the right child care services that offer a nurturing environment where your child can thrive. Starting my family day care has been a dream of mine since my daughter was born in late 2013. Though life’s circumstances delayed this dream, everything has aligned perfectly, allowing me to purchase the ideal property in Oyster Bay to turn my vision into reality. As soon as you walk in the front door, you enter my play space, which includes a separate side yard dedicated to Tiny Oysters. The indoor area, once a formal lounge/dining room, has been transformed with a kitchenette and a new door to the outdoor yard, among other improvements, to create the best possible environment for your children. This space will continually evolve to meet the needs of their growth and development. 

I am thrilled to embark on this new chapter as a Family Day Care Educator. Here, I will work with a small group of children in my own home, welcoming them and their families into my extended family. I cannot wait to meet you and your children and begin this exciting journey together!
